Shaw Office Building World Headquarters

- Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Technical Hurdles:The Shaw Office Building World Headquarters is a 12-floor, 250,000-square-foot Class “A” office building designed to consolidate the central office and management functions of CBI (formerly the Shaw Group). ADG was tasked with delivering MEP/FP systems that could support a large-scale corporate environment while maintaining high energy efficiency and operational reliability. The inclusion of a remotely located central plant required careful coordination to ensure seamless integration with the building’s systems, while the decorative building lighting needed to meet both performance and architectural design goals.

Logistical Constraints:The project included a 6-floor parking garage and extensive infrastructure, requiring complex routing of mechanical and electrical systems through multiple vertical and horizontal service paths. Coordinating with architectural teams to integrate a computerized decorative lighting system without disrupting the building’s exterior design required precise engineering and programming expertise.

Client Satisfaction & Benefits

The client praised ADG for delivering efficient, reliable, and visually striking building systems that support daily operations while enhancing the building’s prominence in the Baton Rouge skyline. The project successfully met functional goals while adding a unique nighttime presence through its programmable lighting system.

Advanced Technology : ADG implemented a computerized decorative lighting control system capable of creating dynamic visual effects for the building’s exterior. The remotely located central plant was engineered to deliver reliable chilled water and heating capacity to the main tower, ensuring optimal environmental control for office spaces while maintaining energy efficiency.
