Offshore Energy Services

- Weatherford, Oklahoma

Technical Hurdles:Associated Design Group, Inc. delivered mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering services for a new 40,000-square-foot warehouse with integrated office and dispatch areas. The scope included HVAC, sprinkler, plumbing, and shop ventilation systems, along with a tornado shelter room designed for occupant safety. Specialized shop plumbing incorporated domestic water piping, emergency eyewash/showers, natural gas piping for heating, and drainage piping routed through an oil separator and water treatment system before discharge into the sanitary sewer.

Logistical Constraints:The facility required careful integration of industrial-grade systems with office and sleeping quarters, balancing safety, comfort, and performance. To accommodate specialized operations, ADG engineered make-up air ventilation and chemical fire suppression systems for warehouse paint booths. The site design extended domestic water and sewer utilities while providing robust electrical distribution and life-safety infrastructure.

Client Satisfaction & Benefits

The completed facility supports industrial operations and workforce needs with modernized warehouse systems, efficient office environments, and robust safety measures. The inclusion of a tornado shelter and chemical fire suppression underscores ADG’s focus on resiliency and worker protection, while advanced ventilation and plumbing systems ensure long-term operational efficiency.

Advanced Technology :Key features included T-8 fluorescent lighting in non-shop areas, a combination of fluorescent and metal-halide high-bay fixtures in the warehouse, and backup power via a utility-provided generator. The electrical system was bid competitively for optimal cost efficiency, and the integrated HVAC and fire protection systems were engineered to meet stringent safety and operational standards.
