Louisiana State University Softball Stadium

- Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Technical Hurdles:Associated Design Group, Inc. provided Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection (MEP/FP) design services for the new LSU Softball Stadium. The project included team facilities, training and locker rooms, concessions, restrooms, and press/media accommodations. Lighting and power distribution were designed to meet NCAA collegiate athletic standards, while HVAC and plumbing systems were engineered to support both spectator comfort and athlete performance areas.

Logistical Constraints:As a Division I athletic facility, the stadium required systems that balanced energy efficiency, durability, and high-capacity use on game days. Coordination was critical to integrate press box technology, broadcast infrastructure, and concession utilities into the stadium’s layout without compromising sightlines or spectator experience. The design also incorporated code-compliant fire protection and life safety systems to handle large-event occupancy.
