Technical Hurdles:Associated Design Group, Inc. provided comprehensive MEP/FP design services for both new and renovated facilities at the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. Renovation efforts included 5,250 square feet of BSL-2 Animal Holding Rooms, a decontamination/autoclave sterilization room, and a lab imaging room, each requiring specialized safety and environmental controls.
Logistical Constraints:The project also incorporated a new 3,022-square-foot Linear Accelerator Vault, designed to support advanced veterinary oncology treatments. This required precise coordination of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems to accommodate highly sensitive medical equipment, maintain code compliance, and ensure reliable performance under strict environmental standards.
The upgrades provide LSU with state-of-the-art veterinary care facilities, strengthening the school’s ability to deliver advanced research and medical treatments. By integrating efficient MEP/FP systems tailored to each specialized space, the project ensures reliability, safety, and long-term operational excellence.
Advanced Technology :ADG’s design emphasized precision environmental control, sterilization support systems, and specialized infrastructure for radiation therapy equipment, enabling cutting-edge veterinary oncology treatments while enhancing overall facility performance.
Since 1981, ADG Engineering has delivered mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and sustainable engineering solutions across healthcare, education, government, industrial, and commercial projects - drawing on over four centuries of collective expertise and a strong focus on quality assurance and control.
