LSU Tiger Stadium
- Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Technical Hurdles:The LSU Tiger Stadium project involved the design and construction administration of a new west side replacement stadium section, featuring a state-of-the-art press box, club-level seating, expanded stadium seating areas, meeting rooms, concession areas, food preparation facilities, and a three-story atrium. ADG’s challenge was to integrate advanced MEP/FP systems into a large-scale venue while ensuring that the high-occupancy environment met strict life safety and comfort standards. The advanced smoke evacuation system for the atrium required complex modeling to ensure rapid and effective performance during emergencies.
Logistical Constraints:Coordinating construction in an active stadium setting demanded precise scheduling to avoid interference with ongoing events. The integration of new seating, hospitality spaces, and mechanical systems into an existing structure required careful planning to align with architectural, structural, and operational requirements. The project also involved managing the installation of extensive food service infrastructure, all while maintaining the project timeline.
Client Satisfaction & Benefits
The client praised ADG for delivering a safe, efficient, and fan-focused facility upgrade that enhances the stadium experience for spectators, media, and staff. The improved club seating, press facilities, and concessions have boosted both operational capabilities and guest satisfaction, while the smoke evacuation system adds critical safety protections.
Advanced Technology : ADG designed and implemented an advanced smoke evacuation system specifically for the stadium’s three-story atrium, ensuring rapid clearance in emergency situations. The MEP/FP systems were engineered for high-capacity performance, including advanced HVAC for large crowd areas, commercial kitchen ventilation, and efficient lighting and power distribution throughout the new spaces.
