Scott Veterans Memorial
- Scott, Louisiana
Technical Hurdles:Associated Design Group, Inc. provided mechanical and electrical engineering services for the first phase of the Scott Veterans Memorial Park. The park’s location along the east–west railroad tracks was deliberately chosen to symbolize the journey of veterans and the passage of time. ADG’s design scope included infrastructure for water, sewer, gas, and electrical systems to support the park’s features, including the memorial tower with its eternal flame, pathway lighting, and utility provisions for future expansion.
Logistical Constraints:The memorial was designed to function both as a solemn tribute to veterans and as a multi-use community space. Engineering systems were required to seamlessly integrate with the memorial’s symbolic design while remaining flexible for future growth. Special care was taken to ensure that utilities would not detract from the aesthetic integrity of the site or interrupt visitor access.
