St. Anne Catholic Church

- Youngsville, Louisiana

Technical Hurdles:Associated Design Group, Inc. provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering design for the new 16,250-square-foot St. Anne Catholic Church in Youngsville, Louisiana. The facility includes worship, altar, and support spaces designed in a traditional cathedral style while incorporating modern building systems. The design carefully balanced historic architectural character with state-of-the-art engineering solutions, ensuring the church parish received a timeless yet technologically advanced facility.

Logistical Constraints:To preserve the architectural aesthetic, ADG integrated LED lighting that mimics traditional fixtures while providing energy efficiency and longevity. The facility required a new 480-volt electrical service that also sub-feeds existing buildings on site, creating a seamless power distribution system. HVAC systems utilized a combination of split DX and packaged DX units, providing reliable climate control across varied worship and parish spaces. The entire facility was designed with a fire sprinkler system in compliance with applicable codes.

Client Satisfaction & Benefits

The project delivered a sacred and enduring worship environment that respects Catholic liturgical traditions while incorporating advanced building technologies. Parishioners now enjoy a comfortable, efficient, and safe facility designed to serve the community for generations. By blending modern systems with traditional design, ADG ensured that both form and function were fully realized.

Advanced Technology :Key systems include state-of-the-art LED lighting with traditional aesthetics, high-efficiency HVAC for precise comfort control, and a new electrical distribution system designed for both the new sanctuary and existing parish facilities. Fire protection design ensures enhanced safety and long-term code compliance. Construction was completed in spring 2025, marking a new chapter for the St. Anne Catholic Church parish.
