Technical Hurdles:This project included the design of a 96,000 square foot manufacturing shop and a 13,400 square foot office building, requiring fully integrated mechanical and electrical systems to meet both industrial and administrative needs. ADG’s mechanical design covered sprinkler systems, plumbing, HVAC, and specialized shop ventilation and heating. Shop plumbing incorporated domestic water piping, emergency eyewash/showers, gas piping for heating and equipment, compressed air piping, and drainage piping for trenches and drains. Heated make-up air units were deployed to maintain safe air quality in exhaust-intensive shop areas.
Logistical Constraints:The electrical design supported three distinct facility zones: a two-story office area, general manufacturing space, and CNC machine shop. The main electrical service (3000 amperes at 480 volts) was designed with 25% spare capacity to allow future expansions as production workload increases. Shop areas were illuminated with high-bay T-5 High Output fluorescent fixtures, chosen for their energy efficiency and ability to provide consistent high-level lighting in large industrial spaces.
Client Satisfaction & Benefits
By combining high-capacity electrical infrastructure with robust HVAC and plumbing systems, ADG delivered a facility designed for efficiency, safety, and long-term adaptability. The inclusion of spare capacity in power systems and flexible mechanical layouts ensures the building can grow alongside the client’s operations, supporting future manufacturing demands and technological advancements.
Advanced Technology :The design leveraged high-efficiency lighting, industrial-grade ventilation systems, and scalable electrical service, enabling a balance of operational performance, safety, and sustainability for both office and manufacturing environments.
