University of Louisiana at Lafayette – Fletcher Hall

- Lafayette, Louisiana

Technical Hurdles:Associated Design Group, Inc. provided HVAC, Fire Protection, and Electrical services for the renovation of Fletcher Hall on the University of Louisiana at Lafayette campus. The project included the addition of five (5) shell spaces for future classrooms and offices to be completed in Phase II, along with renovations to approximately 21,785 square feet of existing space.

Logistical Constraints:Renovations required the installation of a new grid system, updated lighting, and exterior walls to create an interior corridor across all three levels. ADG designed air conditioning for the new shell spaces and modified existing HVAC systems to accommodate the phased renovations. The outdated fire alarm system was replaced with a modern, code-compliant system to improve student and staff safety. Electrical upgrades included new outlets across multiple areas, while lighting levels were doubled without increasing energy consumption.

Client Satisfaction & Benefits

The renovated Fletcher Hall now delivers enhanced safety, comfort, and energy efficiency, aligning with the evolving needs of the university’s students and faculty. The electrical and lighting upgrades improve functionality while supporting modern academic demands.

Advanced Technology :With efficient HVAC design, upgraded fire protection, and enhanced electrical systems, Fletcher Hall is positioned to support future classroom and office expansions while ensuring long-term reliability and reduced operating costs.
