Technical Hurdles:Associated Design Group, Inc. provided mechanical and electrical engineering services for the new sanctuary addition at Vineyard Church in Lafayette. The project included a 500-seat worship sanctuary, new circulation spaces, and integrated audio/video production facilities. Additionally, approximately 2,000 square feet of the existing facility was renovated to create a seamless transition between the existing building and the new expansion.
Logistical Constraints:The design required careful coordination to integrate new systems with existing infrastructure while minimizing disruption to ongoing church activities. Electrical systems were expanded to support advanced audiovisual production, while mechanical systems were designed to deliver comfort across both renovated and new spaces. Efficient circulation design also ensured ease of movement for large congregations during services and events.
