Technical Hurdles:Associated Design Group, Inc. provided Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) design and construction phase services for the transformation of the historic 1923 Watermark Building into the Autograph Marriott Hotel in downtown Baton Rouge. The nearly 150-key hotel required major MEP infrastructure upgrades, a complete modernization of building systems, and a full redesign of every space to align with Marriott Autograph Collection quality standards.
Logistical Constraints:Renovating a historic facility into a modern luxury hotel presented unique challenges. ADG coordinated selective demolition and environmental abatement, integrated new building systems while preserving historic architectural features, and delivered design solutions to meet both brand requirements and modern building codes.
