ADG provided HVAC, Fire Protection, and Electrical service for this renovation project on the campus of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. The project included the additions of five (5) shell spaces for future classroom and office spaces that are to be built out as part of phase II of this project. It also included renovating approximately 21,785 square foot of the existing facility.

The renovations included installing a new grid system, lighting and constructing new exterior walls to create an interior corridor space on all three (3) levels. As part of this project, ADG designed the air conditioning for the new shell spaces along with modifying the existing HVAC systems to accommodate the renovations that occurred as part of this project.

The facility's existing outdated fire alarm system was replaced with a new modern system to provide an increase in student and staff safety. Lighting in the project areas was replaced resulting in lighting levels double that of the existing lighting system while not increasing energy consumption. Electrical outlets were added in numerous locations to accommodate current student needs.

The Louisiana State Sports Hall of Fame and History Museum is located in historic Natchitoches, Louisiana. The two story building is approximately 27,000 square feet and consists of an exhibit shop, administration offices, sports hall of fame exhibit and inter-actives, and Louisiana history exhibits.

The building has an energy management system which controls the mechanical and lighting systems in the building during occupied and unoccupied times of the day to save energy. The EMS also controls temperature for the exhibits and items in the building.

Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame | Natchitoches, Louisiana
Cost: $12,500,000| Square Feet: 27,000
The building is conditioned by an air cooled chiller system with chilled water pump providing chilled water to two VAV air handling units inside the building. The air handling units provide conditioned air to VAV boxes serving the spaces in the building. The VAV boxes have electric strip heaters with which maintain the space temperatures and humidity levels.

CRESCENT CITY SURGICAL CENTER | Metairie, Louisiana

This 5-Story surgical center is located in Metairie, Louisiana. The center is comprised of a concrete structure with a parking garage on the first three floors and specialty surgical hospital on floors four and five. The parking garage accommodates 147 parking spaces along with mechanical yard and storage rooms. The 4th floor contains admission and waiting areas, a CT room, an X-Ray room, break rooms, offices, and 20 patient rooms. The 5th floor contains eight Operating Rooms, pre-op holding areas, recovery areas, a doctor's lounge, and procedure rooms. With a footprint of roughly 25,000 square feet, Crescent City Surgical Centre is built on what once was a 36,000 square foot asphalt parking lot.

Lafayette Science Museum & Planterium | Lafayette, Louisiana

New construction of a three story museum and planetarium building which is located in downtown Lafayette, Louisiana. The Mechanical design included a chilled water central plant including air cooled chillers, pumps, built-up air handling units, and variable air volume boxes electric reheat and dehumidification. Critical temperatures and humidity levels were maintained through the DDC temperature control system. The plumbing and sprinkler system for the facility was also part of the design for this project. Sprinkler systems included a wet pipe system throughout the building with a VESDA system combined with a preaction system for the planetarium. The Electrical design included general ambiance lighting, theatrical (art) lighting, emergency backup capability, power distribution, voice evacuation fire protection and alarm system and voice/data com.

New construction of a three story museum and planetarium building which is located in downtown Lafayette, Louisiana. The Mechanical design included a chilled water central plant including air cooled chillers, pumps, built-up air handling units, and variable air volume boxes electric reheat and dehumidification. Critical temperatures and humidity levels were maintained through the DDC temperature control system. The plumbing and sprinkler system for the facility was also part of the design for this project. Sprinkler systems included a wet pipe system throughout the building with a VESDA system combined with a preaction system for the planetarium. The Electrical design included general ambiance lighting, theatrical (art) lighting, emergency backup capability, power distribution, voice evacuation fire protection and alarm system and voice/data com.
